POLICY: Background investigations will be conducted on all new and/or rehired personnel within the guidelines of Medical Staffing Solutions policy and/or Federal, State, and local law, if different, when an offer of employment has been extended. Employment is conditional based upon the result of the screening and an adverse report could result in termination of employment.

PROCEDURAL DOCUMENTATION: All offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check. Once an offer of employment has been made, a background check will be completed by an approved third party provider.

Review

Medical Staffing Solutions will review any situation when an applicant is found to have a criminal conviction to determine the suitability of employment. Consideration will be taken for the nature and gravity of the crime, the date that the crime was committed and the relatedness of the crime to the job the person would perform as an employee. No consideration will be given for past employment or recommendations. Client policies will be a factor in the evaluation.

Warrants and Indictments

Any outstanding warrants or indictments must be cleared from an applicant’s record prior to employment.

Applicant Notification

Medical Staffing Solutions will notify any applicant who fails to meet the background check criteria.
